Pine Digital Security introduces lawful interception collection system

Thursday 02 December 2004

McLean, VA (December 2nd, 2004) - Pine Digital Security, a leading provider of lawful interception (LI) software, announced the release of its collection system for Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs). The announcement was made at the ISS World Fall 2004 conference, where LI experts from over the world have gathered to discuss the rapidly changing world of communication interception.

The new collection system enables LEAs to store intercepted IP data that is provided by ISPs in realtime in TIIT 1.0.0 or ETSI 102 232 handover format. The system can also be used by ISPs for end-to-end testing of their existing lawful interception system setup.

Mark J. Lastdrager, CEO of Pine Digital Security: "The Netherlands was one of the first countries in the world to implement a telecommunications law that allowed LEAs to intercept data traffic. Because of the experience Pine gathered during the process of becoming the market leader with our EVE lawful interception system for ISPs, we are confident that we can deliver the most efficient and secure LEA collection system available. Our collection system is completely based on open source libraries and infrastructure, which keeps the price low while it allows for perfect accountability of the source code."

The system can store collected data in "raw" or the commonly used tcpdump format. It can be completely provisioned with warrant- and system data using encrypted SNMPv3, thus allowing for smooth integration into existing management systems.
